Recent Achievements
Recent achievements include provision of significant funding and coordination of the building of the new playground and zip wire, refurbishment of the magnificent Roundhouse Garden, coordinating the provision of many new composite benches in and around the village and considerable assistance with funding for the new Scouts and Guides HQ. The Trust, with the assistance of the Parish Council, has also organised improvements to the area at the bottom of Station Road, with new flagging and the installation of new benches.
We have also helped with funding for Love Burley, Men's Sheds, the Wellbeing Hub , new herb and vegetable gardens in Grange Park , on the Library terrace and on the Village Green, compost bins in the parks and new kissing gates for better countryside access with help from Walkers are Welcome.
We have now completed the merger with Burley Education Trust, and with the assistance of three of the former trustees of BET who have become Community Trust Trustees, will continue to provide funding to benefit young people in the village
Burley Summer Festival now operates under the auspices of the Community Trust, through the Summer Festival's own Organising Committee.
